Brand spanking new archivist, overall blerd (black nerd), writer, and know-er of weird, random information. Research interests include archives and social justice, digital presence, and the social movements of the mid-twentieth century.

A brief history of me

I graduated from Georgia State University with my history degree and then went to graduate school at Louisiana State University and earned my Masters in Library and Information Science.

As you can probably tell, I’m all about being myself here. The language is laid back–I save the scholarly stuff for my research papers. I’m interested in engaging with others.

When not at work, I’m probably doing one of the following:

  • Church
  • Spending time with the hubby
  • Plotting my next adventure in the city
  • Reading or writing my novel
  • Video gaming – Pokemon Go being the latest
  • Some combination of the above
